"Concita" is a project of chair created by a technological innovation, the wood sewing, invented by Studi Immagine d’Ambiente and developed and applied to a new chair in co-operation with Massimo Zaniboni, who has been called to design the chair.
Inspired by the restaurant and bar chairs of the Sixties, Concita evokes the steel frame conic section tubes, with oak feet such as oak seat and backrest.
These are made of plywood and are characterized precisely by a decorative stitching fair to the design of the frame below.
The nylon stitching is accomplished by an innovative technique that guarantees the invulnerability to abrasion and wear, however, thanks to a special surface finishing process.
The result has all the freshness and innocence of an extemporaneous work, humor and spontaneity of a jam session, personality of a post-industrial customization.
Project CONCITA was ranked 2nd prize overall in the contest "I Love me: DESIGN" and BEST CHAIR - www.abitar.it/design.php
