Massimo Zaniboni

Massimo Zaniboni graduated in 1994 with Full Honors in Architecture by Politecnico di Milano with a 3 wheels vehicle thesis project, equipped with aluminum space frame and electric engine, developed in co-operation with Pininfarina and Centro Ricerche Fiat.

The project is exhibited at National Museum of Motorcycle in Rimini and draws to the attention of Piaggio-Gilera, where he gains his first professional experiences as designer, employed by Centro Stile, Product Innovation Dept.

Soon Aprilia, Italjet and Kymco offer him free-lance co-operations involving him in innovative projects of scooters, motorcycles and advanced design.

In 1996 Massimo Zaniboni founds Arkema Studio, a workshop that creates in a few years several scooters, motorcycles and accessories prototypes with innovative design and technical solutions and a strong style personality.

He receives several awards, such as “Ducati R&D Special Award” and he was mentioned by the magazine ‘Ottagono’ among the Best Italian designers under 30 index.

In the 2000's, he designs many successful products for Kymco and, at the same time, he continues his research, developing advanced design prototypes for Moto Guzzi, Italjet, Mondial Moto and innovative 3 or 4 wheels eco-vehicles, exposed in museums and international events.

In 2009 September Kymco Agility R16 comes the overall best seller scooter in Italy.

Today he continues to design vehicles and accessories for most prestigious companies and – by achieving a Master in Innovation Management as well - he has diversified its activities into new areas such as furniture and product design, developing innovative products for technology and shape and always rational, elegant, fine even when ironic.
